Vents d'espoir de la Vallée du Saint-Laurent is a non-profit organization founded in 2014. Its goal is to ensure a better quality of personal, family, social and community life for people aged between 18 and 55 in Montérégie. -West living with traumatic brain injury or motor impairment. This mission will be actualized by the possible construction of a multifunctional complex which will include 32 adapted housing units, respite rooms, the Day Activity Center (with various respite services), various workshops (kitchen, carpentry, work) , a therapeutic pool and an adapted physical training room. Currently Winds of Hope offers a day activity center for adults living with a TBI or a motor disability in order to maintain their skills, develop skills, promote their development and give families a break. In addition, at-home respite is available to allow caregivers to recharge their batteries and think about themselves for a few hours. Support groups are set up to allow caregivers to share their experiences and find support from peers. Information evenings on themes such as RDSPs, the protection regime, tax credits, etc. are also offered. It is common for caregivers to be looking for resources, to have a need to share a difficult situation, etc. Winds of Hope is able to welcome them and give them individual support. The organization's clientele is people aged between 18 and 55 living with craniocerebral trauma or another form of motor impairment (which can result from the after-effects of stroke, tumor, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, degenerative diseases, etc.). Among the territories served, we find Montérégie-Ouest.
