Albatros Mont-Laurier (MRC Antoine-Labelle) offers free and voluntary support, by being present and listening, at home, in CHSLDs, in private residences for seniors (RPA) or at the hospital, to people with from any illness posing a potential threat to life, and to their loved ones (respite, support), to palliative care, if necessary. Requests for support can be made to the organization directly by sick people or their relatives, or by health workers (no obligation for a referral from a health worker). A referral to our organization, by health care workers with sick people and/or their relatives, upstream, or in anticipation of when the need will arise during the trajectory of the disease, is a winning strategy. The clientele served by this organization concerns people with any illness posing a potential threat to life, and support for their loved ones. The territory covered is the MRC Antoine-Labelle.
