Albatros Vallée-de-la-Gatineau (Maniwaki)

Albatros Vallée-De-La-Gatineau (Maniwaki) offers free and voluntary support, through presence and listening, at home, in CHSLDs, in private residences for seniors (RPA) or in hospitals, to people suffering from any disease posing a potential threat to life, and to their loved ones (respite, support), up to palliative care, if necessary. Requests for support can be made to the organization directly by sick people or their relatives, or by health workers (no obligation for a referral from a health worker). A referral to our organization, by health workers with sick people and/or their relatives, upstream, or in anticipation of when the need will be felt during the trajectory of the disease, is a winning strategy. The clientele served by this organization are people with any illness that poses a potential threat to life, and their loved ones. The territory covered is the MRC of La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau.
