Centre Petite Échelle

Centre Petite Échelle

The Centre Petite Échelle is a community organization that for more than 25 years has offered stimulating respite to young people with special needs. The organization mainly offers two types of activities. The Petite Échelle component offers stimulating respite services for families with a child, mainly between the ages of 0 and 12, with special needs. Then, the Grande Échelle component is designed to promote autonomy in young adults aged 21 and over with special needs. Thus, the Centre's clientele is mainly made up of young people who have been diagnosed or are awaiting a diagnosis of an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or a developmental delay, both linguistically and intellectually. Another part of the clientele has an orphan disease, a diagnosis of Trisomy 21, cerebral palsy or other syndromes affecting physical, linguistic or intellectual development. Among the territories served, there are mainly Montérégie and the metropolitan region of Montreal.
