Société de transport de Laval
The Société de transport de Laval (STL) develops and offers Laval a quality, efficient, innovative public transit service that evolves according to mobility needs. In order to be eligible for the STL's paratransit service, the person must meet two requirements, either be a handicapped person, that is, a person with a deficiency resulting in a significant and persistent disability and who is prone to encountering obstacles in carrying out everyday activities. The person must also have, in terms of mobility, limitations justifying the use of a paratransit service, i.e. the inability to walk 400 meters on level ground, the inability to climb a step of 35 centimeters height with support, or the inability to descend one without support, the inability to complete an entire journey using regular public transport, the inability to control situations or behaviors that could be detrimental to one's own safety or that of others, the inability to communicate verbally or by gesture. However, this incapacity alone cannot be considered for admission purposes. Among the territories served, we find the city of Laval.
